Little Mountain Mixed-Use

HEREBY is leading the design and development of this two-building, 186-unit mixed-use project which sits at the heart of a Vancouver's Little Mountain redevelopment. Developed as part of a pre-existing masterplan, the project required a careful understanding of the plan’s various complex requirements in order to ensure an efficient approvals process with the local jurisdictions. The commercial base of the south building activates a vibrant public plaza, transitioning to the quieter, residential streetscape along the north structure.

The buildings are designed to be read as a pair of siblings, each with their own character but belonging to the same family. They are unified by both a warm, rich material quality and staggered balcony placement that gives the building a dynamic textural quality. This dynamism continues on the interior with unit layouts that evolve depending where on the facade they sit. The end result is an offering that provides variety, choice, and uniqueness that one seeks in a home.
